Photography may be your business, your creative outlet, or both. You don’t have to figure it all out alone.
Professional Photographers of Ohio brings photographers together to learn, share ideas, and support one another. Through hands-on education, events, image competition, and everyday connections, we help you grow your craft, build your business, and find your community.
Come for the inspiration. Stay for the people.
Come join us at the Mansfield Reformatory! This is the location for the filming of the movie “Shawshank Redemption” and others. PPO rents out the entire facility that evening for our group only that evening. Our group receives access to areas not normally open during public tours. Bring your own models to photograph, or follow other photographers around to see how they photograph in the prison. Bring your own lighting of preference and wander around freely, just make sure it’s portable!
Developing Vision: Reframing the Expected
What if the first photograph is only the beginning? Developing Vision explore show we can move beyond what we first notice and begin to see more in what is already in front of us.
